A Fresh Hope, Paulding Christmas, and area churches are joining together to sponsor Hope for Christmas 2012 on December 8th from 11 am to 7 pm. We will provide food & toys for local families, & children will shop for free presents for parents & grandparents. All of this will be in a fun, Christ-centered environment as families enjoy the Family Fun Area, visit Santa, make a craft, & celebrate Christmas.

Hope for Christmas 2012 will be held at four different sites. This volunteer registration website is ONLY for the West Ridge Church - East Paulding location. If you are interested in signing up for Grace Pointe Church, Trinity Church, or West Ridge Church - Cartersville, then please return to http://www.hopeforchristmas.com & choose the correct location.

Over 1,600 volunteer opportunities are available to serve the families expected to attend at this location. As you can see from the Ticket Information above, there will be volunteer opportunities for everyone. Each person can sign up for one or multiple activities, as long as the assignments do not have conflicting time commitments. Although most needs will be for Saturday December 8th, there will be many opportunities to help in the weeks before.  Many assignments in the areas of registration, and the sorting of toys, food, & Secret Santa gifts will be completed BEFORE December 8th. In some cases scheduling of time may be flexible but will be coordinated by the team leader for that area.

Volunteers for “Childcare for Volunteers”, “Secret Santa Shop”, & “Secret Santa Shop - Childcare Waiting Area” must be pre-screened by West Ridge to work with children. If you have not previously been through the screening process or need to have your approval updated, then please go to http://www.hopeforchristmas.com & click on one of the Background Check links under the Volunteer Information tab.

To volunteer, please select the “registration” for the area(s) you would like to work & select one registration for each family member (6th grade or older) serving. You can select multiple areas to serve on the same registration. Once you have selected your volunteer opportunities, then select “Register” to complete the process. Please specify on the Registration page the names for each person serving & the ages for all high school & middle school students. Enter the required information & select “Complete Registration”. Note: Families are welcome to serve together, but ONLY COUNT adults & children 6 grade & older in selecting the number of registrations for the assignment. Elementary-age children are welcome to serve with you but DO NOT select a registration for them; but rather note on the Registration page that they will be serving with you & include their names & ages.

Once registered, you will receive a confirmation via e-mail from Eventbrite. We will also contact you periodically before the event using the e-mail address freshhopevolunteers@comcast.net with additional information regarding your assignment. Please be sure your e-mail account does not direct e-mails from either of these sources to spam or trash.
